Just Paint is a project in progress. It is between abstract and figurative painting. All works are based on paint, just as it is purely from the tube. Sometimes paint appears after one gesture of the painting knife, natural and impersonal as much as it is possible.
All works are "Still life" in one color. A one color dream about living a "still life", opposite to "mobile life" Full-Color nightmare. Just paint is painting the oil paint on my pallet, using classical oil on canvas technique. Painting the oil paint captures its stage before becoming part of an art image; before it starts to represent something and before it is no more just paint. Same with the color, color is one of the two genuine elements of paint. In this paintings color is just itself. Green is the color of the green paint, red is - of red paint.
Shapes of the paint are free of other content that of oil paint. The only paint represents natural shapes of squeezed oil paint from the tube. Paint the oil paint shapes is the artist's only intention.
Backgrounds are abandoned interiors or wrong painted rooms, chosen from many places in the world that have need of painting... and optimism.
